Sorry for ignoring you, but on the back of the card that I got Pichu off, it said that if I trade it with someone with HeartGold or SoulSilver, ill get a special friend join me. Anybody know what that is?

you're wrong. the game activates the event by checking id/secret id and other things (caught at location (it has Pokemon Event but theres actually a number beside it like 07 or 06)) to tell the game whether or not it was cheated or not from the event at all
