What? I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Of course that overused story isn't enough. There's so much they could do instead of that.

Oh right because I was clearly implying that I wanted more of a story out of this game.

I'm saying that even though that Miyamoto doesn't want a story in his game, he still pretty much put one in, at least some background of what the hell is going on in the game is a part of the formula these days.

Well I decided to check out the game for myself - Played through world 1. The gameplay is pretty good, pretty much feels like more levels for the first one. I like the over world though. The textures kinda bother me though. In the first one everything was fairly plain but smooth and it looked nice. In this one they tried doing some weird bubbly texturing or something and it looks horrendous.

Awesome game so far, although the spin glitch seems to be present still (This glitch will cause the player to run in tight circles for a few seconds at random, even if they aren't in an area with odd gravity or anything). It's only happened a few times so it's not so bad

just got home from manhattan with my signed copy of Mario Galaxy 2

charles martinet makes it near impossible to sell his signed stuff on ebay - he always wants to personalize it and then he writes a stupid message, like "Here we go!! Mario!", signs his name and draws his face

and he always keeps calling my girlfriend "princess nina" and it's rather annoying she's 23 not 5

also he's got this weird coldness about him, but maybe because there were 200 other people before me who wanted him to sign stuff

In fact it seems nice that he's going through the trouble of personalizing the message. In fact all the stuff in the spoiler tag sounds pretty hilarious. Why would that bother anyone? He's being Mario!

After only getting it yesterday,
when my girlfriend and might I say the greatest girlfriend in the world appears at my door step out of absolutely no where with Super Mario Galaxy 2,
I'm 21 stars into the game facing Bowser for the first time.

So far I say it's SMG1 perfected. There is a LOT in this game, my goodness. The visuals and creativity simply bring joy to my eyes.

Yeah and its a step up in difficulty too. I like the time trials feature, it's gonna be awesome replay right there.

Just spent an hour trying to get the Prankster Star for the Flip-Swap Galaxy...so now I have 35 Stars, and just got to world 3

Also, did anyone else try to shoot like 100 Starbits into the first Hungry Luma before you realized you have to talk to him, and not just blindly fire at him, or am I just an idiot?
