The next Sonic for Nintendo Wii and DS, Sonic Colors, will be developed in the same vein as Sonic and the Black Knight–toward the very young fan, not necessarily a Sonic fan, and not the mainstream gamer.

see!!! it says specifically there that it's not for any sort of gamer or Sonic fan, but for children!!! haha!!!!!! so we can't complain about it because we're complaining at a game specifically targetted to children!!!! so instead of making an actually interesting or well-designed game, that anyone that cares about gameplay can enjoy, they instead use the time that could be used to the development of this game to make this statement so that they can get away with doing a very shitty game, saying that it doesn't appeal to people with an actual taste. brilliant, sega, brilliant!!!

(not counting he handheld sonics. All of those were good, excluding Chronicles.)

The Sonic Cycle is pretty much useless at this point. Sonic Team's dug themselves into such a deep hole, we can instantly assume that everything Sonic-related coming from them will be shit without thinking the next game will save the series.

So...less than a minute of something that isn't even gameplay footage, a couple of aliens, and the title being "Sonic Colors/Colours" causes everyone to have a fucking heart attack.

This is a lot like Sonic 4, it's always a good idea to judge the game when you haven't seen a screenshot of gameplay or heard a word of the plot.

Do you honestly think that with the incredibly large slew of bad games Sonic Team has been churning out that this will be even better?

Apparently, they're trying to pull some inspiration from Super Mario Galaxy in this one. I still the the Sonic series is beyond redemption. The only decent chance they have will be Sonic 4, as the Sonic Rush and Advance series clearly shows that Sonic Team knows what the fuck they're doing in the realm of 2-D.
