I've had this idea for a long time, I hope I can set this up one day, at a shopping mall:



What do you guys think? It would seem like an important test of society's morals and values.

I think all the elements are important, the money to get your attention, the picture to keep you from grabbing the money instantly, and the ledweight for showing it's not intended to be taken, all so that the bystander actually reads the sign.

That looks like a well thought-out experiment. I'm going to predict that a majority of the people will take anywhere from $1-15, because of the rational that there'd be 'enough' money left for the children and the desensitization of our culture.

Also, something that might be cool to include be to have 2 children that look extremely despressed and bad-off and have the rest look ok, and see which picture has more money taken from it.

This is an incredible idea! if you actually do this, record every person who looked, took, or said anything interesting. something like this could get major media attention.

worst thing that could happen would be if one person took the entire $500, and simply walked away richer.

You didn't say anything about spreading the rest of the money between the remaining children.

I'd be the one to take some money from 4 of them then put it under the one I liked best.

I'd take all the money that was left.

Vandalize the sign to say "Hey, instead of standing for your playing with human worth and insulting from up on your high horse, I donated this money to the FotW Food Program instead of letting you preech your pretentious elitism. Where do you get off?"

Then I'd do it.
