Shield Rod + Shield = Massive Ass Kicking (like the Iron Shield, Dark Shield, or Skull Shield)

I tried playing SotN (SEGA SATURN version) but it didn't hook me like the GBA/DS Metroidvania games. The buttons you have to press to show the map is annoying
also I hate how the menu screen kills the song

from what i've heard Saturn SotN is better because it has features that were removed from/weren't included in the PS1 version

i think he means the saturn sotn
because hte saturn version isn't as good, even despite the extra stuff |
