Well I would have to say three of those games are overrated
1. Nintendogs (2005, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS)
2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, Nintendo, for Wii)
3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009, Nintendo, for Wii)
Then again I may just be a dick. (hell I hate MvC3's graphics)

11. Monster Hunter Tri (2009, Capcom, for Wii)
12. Bayonetta (2009, Sega, for Xbox 360)
13. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009, Nintendo, for Wii)
14. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (2010, Konami, for PlayStation Portable)

all within a year but to be fair, theyre all legitimately awesome games.

From personal experience, I would suggest you get it. Monster Hunter Tri is an excellent game. I play it using the Wiimote and Nunchuk myself, and I find no "major" drawbacks. Sure, sometimes I get pissed when I'm running and I pull the Wiimote up somewhat and I end up destroying some soil. Some damn fine soil. But I digress.

Monster Hunter Tri does tend to take awhile in the beginning. IN THE BEGINNING. After you get into the 2-Star quests, which takes about an hour or two depending, things seem to unfold alot quicker. Also, around this time, you get the Argosy and your Fishermen back as well, so there's some interesting things to do along those lines.

As for weapon and armor upgrading, I find that it may piss you off or be fairly enjoyable, depending on how you look at gathering the materials, since some can only be obtained by the larger monsters that take considerable time to kill and you may not want to go out and spend extra time doing so.

Speaking of the monsters, I believe that they really pulled a good list of monsters together in design. The first time I saw the Lagiacrus on the game, I was scared to hell. But getting away from that, the monsters are challenging, but not challenging enough to say "Fuck this game."

As for graphics, beautiful. The fact that they put that much detail into the landscapes is just remarkable. Though depending on your brightness setting, areas like deserts can seem blinding or areas like caves can be pitch black, even with a torch.

Getting away from the general storyline, there's other fun things about the game, such as the Arena and of course, Online Play. The Arena puts you into a match with one of the larger monsters that, like I put, can take considerable time to kill, but, after defeating it, you are rewarded coins, which can be crafted for special armor only available in this way. Online Play I've found is confusing at first, but after awhile, you'll get a hang of it.

In my opinion, Monster Hunter Tri is the best RPG available for the Wii right now. Totally worth getting. Smile

Well I bought it and so far everything is working fine, I must say that the online part of the game isnt the way i expected it to be, is a little umpleacent to talk to people that call you noob just for asking for an item.
Also, regardless to the wii controlers (wii mote and nunchuck) are a bit hard to control but they work fine with me.
This game is very addicting if you have enought time to kill to play it.

Yeah, they probably got the game when it came out so they're hardasses of Monster Hunter. *hardcore*
What items are you looking for?
