Well when i am learning i don't like people saying whats bad but telling me what to do better and he has helped
quite a bit but i would rather him leave out harsh language in any case thanks for the help.

i'll make it easier for you to understand why you shouldnt outline the fire.

fire as it is isnt a solid object, and you should add outlines to solid objects only. not always, but at least not here. same as its shadows, it cant block light therefore it cant cast a shadow.

i opened this up in paint.net and upped the contrast, the colour saturation and intensity:

so even if you don't restart the sprite from scratch you can change some things that make a visible difference.

look at what 1up did, look at a reference, and change the contrast first (which you haven't done in the update), then with the the colour saturation, and only then after that can you mess around with the colour intensity.
if you're not sure, create a strip of your attempts at getting these levels right, and we'll tell you which we prefer!
