That doen't really matter. There was 2 jellyfish Pokemon in Gen 1 but they made more in Gen 5. There were crocodile Pokemon in Gen 2 but they made more in Gen 5. What I'm saying is that we can use ideas of animals that have already been done in Pokemon before

Chinchillas are a /lot/ more obscure than Jellyfish and Crocodiles, it'd be like having two Shrike Pokemon in back-to-back generations.

There's one thing in your statement that makes your two examples exceptions but not his/hers. When the Poké's are seperated by 3-4 generations, people will feel know the concepts old, but it's okay because they haven't had one in while (plus, most of Generation V were expies due to there being no older Pokés until after you beat the game)[/size]. However, with the chinchilla example, we had two chinchilla's in Generation V. Since we're doing a (fake)
Generation VI, a new chinchilla would be compared to the old one, and probably disliked.

I had an idea for a flamingo Pokemon that would be based off of the flamenco style of dancing (obvious pun on the name). They would have a lot of differences between genders. The females would have large wings with ruffled feathers that look like the flowing dresses that flamenco dancer wear ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co...n_maya.jpg) and would be all around extravagant. Then the males would be very plain in comparison.

Stratmos
Type: Flying
Giant Bird Pokémon
Ability: Drizzle
One wing spans wider than two Wailords in length and is therefore unable to settle on the veunerable land. For that reason, it claimed the moon as its nest.
Ever so now and then, Stratmos descends, blessing crops with plentiful rain. It is believed to respond to raindances.
Based on the legendary bird giant Rok.

Wow, I like that idea. I'm guessing it would be a legendary?

That's the idea. I was going for the Rock Paper Scissors legendary trio idea (Crane for Paper, Rok for Rock, passenger plane for Scissors(birds)), but this was what came out.
Could be a Heatran kind of legendary (solitary), but could be part of a duo if one manages to make a fitting counterpart.
By the way, his attack stat is huge, but due to his low special defense and the fact that he's flying and activates rain, he is extremely susceptable to electric attacks, especially Thunder.

Hi everyone! I saw this thread and it looked cool so I thought I might join. I'm not much good at designing, but I can give feedback.

Maybe it could be that the male version is a romancing type that tries to seduce the female birds with the dance?

I was thinking of some things, and I want the male to be holding a rose in it's beak and have like this suave sort of mannerism. But I'm not sure how to portray this with a bird.

I tried making the final design for the ram in Sugi-Style. Here it is
What do you think? (I tried it without eyebrows to make it look younger, cuter and less intimidating, but I could always add eyebrows if you don't like it)
