Thanked by: Proton
Hey Chris (guess whoooo)
I've decided to help ya out with some edits I hope you get a good idea of how to do the first one, considering how dramatic it looks, I went for dramatic lighting And as for the portrait, pallets for faces can get tricky, especially trying to get that subtle warmth that you usually see in photos, now I don't know if my example is good enough, but examining the photo the darker tones have a more grayish appearance, which can help bring the lighter tones out if you give them a subtle saturation of color. I also went ahead and did a quick edit to make the cloth have more depth, and stand out better. (although you were probably going to do that already..) Thanked by: Iceman404, Chris2Balls [:B]

thank you very much for the edits, josiah!
i'm still messing around with the palette, your edit has given me some ideas. i don't think that darker tones are necessarily less saturated in the photo; there are large areas of grey on the face, and some parts go from desaturated to saturated to desaturated, it really depends on which part of the face you're talking about.. i've started blocking shading on the scarf!

Thank you very much (every one, not only tsr but everywhere, i'm really happy!!!), I'll do a few touch-ups soon.
Hopefully I'll be able to do at least a Samus, a Link, and a few C2B animations in the next few months (now->august). |
