Hello my name is Azure Fox and I have seen that many items and bad guys in the super mario sunshine section have not been made and I would like to make them but I've never made customs besides for these which are SMS coins. The thin coins on the side are supposed to be the second frame. Please I need help and I try to improve the coins and move to harder things like yoshi eggs and cartons and bad guys.

The coins look very good. now they need some spinning animations and little sparkling effects for when Mario grabs 'em.

I'd suggest that you make the coins round, like circles. Also, more frames wouldn't be bad, two are not enough. Besides that, the colors could need a change, exspecially your yellow, wich should hue-shift to orange for the darker shades. Also, the shading looks wrong. They're flat coins, not balls.
You need more contrast, more hue shift and less eye-killing colors.

Hue shifting is... when you shift the hue. For example, if you make a yellow palette and make the darker shades more orange or red, thjat would be hue shifting. Or if you make darker shades of some blue more purple. Or lighter shades of green more yellow. Or whatever.
I'd suggest to make the shading rather flat (not on the side frame, leave that for now)... with some light effects at the top and the dark shade only one or to pixels high at the bottom (going up to the sides, though).
The engravings (star etc.) should look like ones - more depth.
The shades on the side frame shouldn't have all the same size, the higher one is, longer it should be, I'd say.

Ok so these are the more spherical yellow color changed versions.
I'm working on the sparkliness and more frames and better/flat shading now but here are the current "to be worked on" ones. Also, the red and the blue palette are exactly the right ones if you look at a game snapshot. I changed the yellow.

Excuses for the double post but here are the new versions of the coins. I did everything that you guys told me to. The only thing that worries me is that i dont know if i did the shading right. Well, here goes nothing: (oh and i'll make the new frame later)
