Ok, im going to make sprites for and eventually make an RPG.
First i would like your opinion on this:
Its the base for human characters, and i would like to know if there are some points to improve.

Also, i would like your opinion on this Ginormous cyborg-undead-dragon:
anatomy.
"but it's so small, I couldn't be totally anatomically correct in this piece!"
yes, sure, but there are soemthings you still got to follow for it to look convincing. Check out the front pose, and look how it looks awkward. No one stands naturally with legs so apart; also the body isn't a simple cylinder. The head on the side poses jutter out forward, and that shouldn't be happening.

Thank you for pointing those things out. I am working on an updated version right now.
EDIT: Updated.

unless you have anything else to contribute, like more sprites or a storyline, mockups... i don't see the point of keeping this open, because you basically want help for a project you haven't even articulated yet, so i don't see how we can help/ contribute. unless you want us to create random stuff, which you'll use to articulate your project. however, since this isn't the case, i'll move it to sprite discussion.
YOU HAVE TO FEEL WHAT YOU DRAW, FEEL

C'mon Jetters, what it is is literally written right beside it.
The RPG sprites have elongated torsos and sharp shoulders.
There isn't much else; it'd be easier to crit. when you show how you fill it out in the end.
The dragon sprite looks pretty cluttered.
The black lines are not working and your palette isn't working.
There isn't enough contrast in your red colours.
You don't need that many reds in your palette anyways.
The shading itself is also iffy.
There's no real specific way I can say it. It's just bad.
It's not pleasant to look at.

I didn't see the text next to it until you mentioned it. I really wasn't paying enough attention I guess.

Today is a very special day for half-devil nameless, because today it is finally legal to give names to non-humans in Neo Rome!
Now, what will his name be?

Are you asking us to name it? Thats not our job, our job is to crit the sprites. And it seems you already named it demonman anyways, based off the filename.
The monster needs definitely more contrast, and if your unnamed person is wearing a tunic/toga, it need to have darker shades to highlight wrinkles, as they both have tons, especially when you move. I also can't see his left arm, just a black line. Sandals need to be darker and something extra needs to be added to the head, just is a plain bald head otherwise. Possibly a leafy crown? Balding hair? Idk. You decide. You also seem to confuse the light source a bot, which is partially a problem to due to your lack of colors. See, his head has it right down on his head, while the toga/tunic has it directly to his left. Personally I think you should have the light source coming down from the lop left or right, as it looks much cleaner, but top down isn't that bad either. Either way, you will have to make that the permanent light source for all the sprites in the whole entire game. Just use one that makes you feel comfortable.

Make it larger or make it more readable (both?) because right now that looks like a crimson alien with a tunic on.

I'd suggest using larger sprites, allowing more visually appealing designs and readability.
This brand of RPG sprite is--In my opinion-rather bland and makes the overall aesthetic of the game dull and generic.
