i'd suggest you redraw your gorilla, because it's going to require a lot of work to make the current version look more like a gorilla.
look very carefully at the proportions. gorillas are hard to draw because they're primates, but not humans, which means you can't rely on human proportions or features; you can use human features (like the cheekbones, etc.) as a comparison so you know what you're drawing, but yeah.
as for the fur, mrskeleton has shown a good example of what you could do.
