Gears of War 3 ends up on popular torrent sites

An unfinished developer build of Gears of War 3 has been leaked online, according to NeoGAF and supported by YouTube footage, including the above video showing a "Beta" Gears of War 3 loading screen and campaign footage. The leak is a JTAG version of Gears 3, meaning it will only play on specially modded or dev-kit Xbox 360s. These are commonly difficult to come by, but just because you can't run the leaked code (you can't, right?) doesn't mean other, far less scrupulous people aren't capable. YouTube and video-streaming sites will most likely contain early videos of the game, so shoot your computer screen now if you don't want to see 'em. We've reached out to Epic Games for comment on if, and how, this will affect Gears of War 3's development and release.

If it is really that difficult to run, then it won't hurt it in any way. The only thing they should do is control to ammount of leaked videos that reaches the internet as much as they can.

This won't hurt sales in the slightest.

Does anyone else wonder how this shit reaches the internet? Do drop a disk on the street or do they putt it up on they're facebook or something?

I doubt it'll affect sales a whole lot. Anyone who really cares would likely buy it anyway to do multiplayer especially since you need more than a flashed drive.

Personally, I hope people will release some videos of the new stuff since its still a few months to release.
