What is this!?

This is a remake of the first game in the Legend of Zelda series done in the style of the Zelda games for the Gameboy Color.
However, it is in no way a 1:1 remake. A bit of artistic license was taken in order to make things more interesting.
Since this is just a demo, the entire game has not be remade.

What has been remade

-A near 100% replica of the Gameboy Zelda engine
-The entire overworld map
-The entire first dungeon
-Most shops and caves
-Most of the items from the original Zelda (Sword, White Sword, Magical Sword, Shield, Magical Shield, Boomerang, Magical Boomerang, Bombs, Bow and Arrows, Power Bracelet, Blue Ring, Red Ring)

Notable differences from the original

-Most of the dungeons (other than the first) are replaced with small caves with an item and a heart container
-A few extra items that weren't in the original Zelda (Shovel, Flippers, Roc's Feather)
-Most of the hidden caves around Hyrule are nonexistent
-The Bow comes with Arrows of it's own, meaning you do not have to buy them separately (also, using arrows does not take up rupees)
-You cannot find the Boomerang as an enemy drop. Instead, you have to buy it in a shop.

Other Things Worth Noting

-After you have bought the Blue Ring, the Red Ring will be available in it's place
-There are a total of eleven Heart Containers in the game (plus the three you start off with makes fourteen--two whole rows)
-The Flippers and Roc's Feather are basically replacements for the Raft and the Stepladder, respectively
-The Tektites can get annoying due to their AI being based on their Zelda 1 versions rather than their Gameboy versions. This is a mistake on my part and I apologize. I have remedied this by decreasing the number of Tektites you'll find at a time.
-Every file will be named "Link" due to the fact that I have not made a name-input screen. Sorry, but I didn't feel it was really a priority.
-The title screen is a bit basic. If you don't like it, feel free to submit your custom title screen to me and maybe, just maybe, I'll replace the current one with it.

Default Controls

Arrow Keys: Movement
1: "B" Item
2: "A" Item
3: Start/Pause
4: Select/Map

F4: Fullscreen

-Includes Gamepad support.
-Use the included "Config.exe" to change the controls, among other things
-To save, go to the pause menu and press select.
-To delete a saved game, just delete the file named "file#.ini" (where # is 1 for file 1, etc.) in the game's folder

Regrettably, I probably won't actually finish this project any time soon. As much as I would like to, college is coming up and frankly I just won't have the time. It took me about a year (on and off) just to get this far. That said, though, feel free to report any glitches. I'll do what I can to fix them. Feedback is also appreciated.
