They're to show if a member is a junior member, a senior member of a posting freak, I think. If you have 1-249 posts, you have 1 star, if you have 250-749 posts, you have 2 stars and if you have 750+ you have 3 stars, or something like that

Yeah, you've got the numbers correct. But the stars are exactly like the points on Whose Line is it Anyway?.
