Maybe you should... I dunno.... let me think... texture them? and weld the vertices? That is a good start.... But Blender doesn't show the textures anyway for some reason...... :p

Blender doesn't show textures by default. You have to enable it . As for the blockyness, you might just have not enabled the smoothing groups or the model doesn't have smoothing groups at all.

Well first thing I think you need to do, is give real examples and maybe post a couple of screenshots to show what the actual result looks like. If your using blender and poser, I dunno much on helping you, my primary 3d experience is in PMDE, and Metesequoia. Because most of what I do is rip, rig and use in MikuMikuDance. But to get some real help, why not give us some info.
What model are you're using. What version of Blender/Poser you're using.

Some models I have downloaded are from newer games, like I got a Xenomorph from AvP. It isnt smooth and good looking like in the SS of it. When I enable textures on Blender, it adds the texture, but the model is still blocky. and almost all models, doing that just adds darker shades of grey.
I don't really do much modelin, like I just got them, always wanted to do 3D modleing, so i have been learnin slowly, so I dunno how to use smoothing groups. or even model the model up, down, left, and right to get a better view of it. I dunno how to weld vertices or anything like that yet. I was gunna look at the models to learn some more, and such. Anyway. Here iss a SS of Rosalina with and without textures enabled. Dunno how to fix the blockyness. http://tinypic.com/r/2nsvxck/6 http://tinypic.com/r/uwm12/6 It's blender 2.62

In the menu on the left is the options Smooth and Flat. You want to choose Smooth.
If it still doesn't look right, you will want to go into "Edit Mode". Make sure the whole model is selected and choose the "Remove Doubles" from the list on the left.

Also, when i remove doubles, it just lets me select one spot on it and stretch it out and deform the model.

No one help me?

okay, first. you know the screenshot with the model that looks black all over? start with that.
then: PS: if you did it right, it doesn't matter if you're on smooth or flat shading. since it's "Shadeless" now, the lighting won't affect it. this is how most games from consoles less powerful than next-gen consoles did it: they faked lighting, which maks the game run faster. if you want to see real-time shading, then just uncheck "shadeless", and THEN it matters if it's smooth or flat. if you need anything clarified or if you need more help, just ask (or message me so i know, because i don't visit this subforum often). If you press "Ctrl+A" to select all (Make sure the objects are highlighted), then "Ctrl+J", all of the separate pieces of the model will become one single object. You must do this in "Object Mode".
Also you may want to press "R" then "90" then press Enter. To get your model to stand upright. Thanked by: LeleleleMAXIMUM

joining all the pieces messes the textures up if the textures are chopped up in pieces as well. only do what Roxas358 says if your texture image is just one whole image for everything. and then you'd have to delete the existing Materials before you make a new one for the new object...
he is right about getting it upright, though. just make sure you're in edit mode to make it permanent.
