the skeleton on the top-right corner is almost invisible, save for the skull. I suggest making it readable against any background.

Yeah, I agree. I think just giving him a brighter outline would do the trick, since I don't think he'll be against such a dark background that often.

Also, why the flat RaptureBoy? The first one you showed was pretty good imo.

One thing I'd recommend though is smoothing the edges of the Fauxboy; I notice some 'jaggies' appear on what imo should be relatively flat lines. This is most noticeable on the top.
