Adventure Time Game?
#16
The file types of importance are .anim, .tim [MITD], .tim2 [2ITD], and .image. I was hoping since it was WayForward that the file system would be similar, but unfortunately it wasn't the case.

The files probably just need to be decompressed and it might be this: http://code.google.com/p/wflz/
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

Well, I did discover that the old 'GLIntercept' trick works with this game when played on desmume. Only problem is the sprites come in pieces, and the backgrounds vanish when in GL graphics mode so switching back and forth is needed to rip properly.

As for that uh...code...I don't really think it will help considering the source files for it are in the 'trunk' folder and most people can't compile it properly. If something works out, let me know though, cause I'd really like to have a look at this stuff. I've looked through the file types with various tile viewers on many different settings, and it's quite obvious the graphics are represented in the ".anim" files, but they are compressed as far as I can tell. Provided we get someone who knows this sort of thing it'll be easier to get the graphics. In the meantime, I'll be trying to play through the game and rip what I want when I can with GLintercept. Good luck everyone, and here's hoping we get something useful out of this.

Sounds like we're getting closer! Fingers crossed for the big breakthrough!

Well, I've run through the entire game to see what it's got, and there is a LOT of stuff to rip, so if we get this going old style it's going to take a long time...especially if we do it using GLIntercept. I'm currently making an attempt on the Ice King himself.

Sorry to double post, friends, but I hate to say this...there's no real way of ripping them properly, even WITH GLIntercept, as there still comes some color distortion and rendering errors with it. Now, if we were able to actually decompress the game files properly, I know it would become extremely easy to rip them properly. However, unless any of you know someone willing to help us out, I'm afraid we've reached a bit of a dead end. I did a few experiments with GLIntercept using the 'Bee' item effects to try and rip something simple, and a few others, and the result is always the same. Let's really hope someone is willing to either compile that thing Deathbringer showed us, or make a simple decompression program. I've looked at almost every file through TiledGGD and it's obvious the graphics are there, if a bit scrambled due to the compression. I'll have one more look at the files themselves in some other methods, but don't expect much from me, as I don't know how to program worth anything. There haven't been any replies since my last one so I assume no one is interested enough to pursue ripping this game...
