I have an idea about how to rip from Wii U games. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to actually do this. My plan was to plug in an external hard drive into your Wii U, and then download a game off of the Nintendo eShop onto that external hard drive. When you unplug it, it will have all the files for the game that you downloaded, but sadly, I don't know what format of model they are going to be in. If anyone is interested, please tell me if it works!

... No, this won't work.
The Wii U doesn't use a format that is readable from a PC, at least not yet. I'm sure there are people looking into how to read the HDD Format, but at the moment, no.
For the record, the same thing happened with the Wii, though it wasn't natively supported in Windows, people worked out the WBFS file format and created applications that could read it.

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

Aww... I thought this would work. Well, I guess that's too bad.
