I know I'm just saying not to worry about it the first time (I tend to think about what people might feel like after something like that happens so I feel I should say something).
as for Novally's edit it's definitely better although for some reason the nose directly touching the eye still bothers me a bit but I know for a sprite that size it can't get much better I guess.

the edited sprite with shading
(tried to make the shading for white as obvious as possible) I actually fixed the nose so it curves downward once it meets the eye

You totally ignored my edits....it would be wise to study all the fixes I made so future work wont rinse and repeat mistakes. Make the changes necessary without totally copying it. (I intend to actually work on that sprite now, maybe).

the background color is really bothering me so here's an example of what would be better:
(you can even grab the color directly from this sheet if you want) just something more dull, but not totally grey. MS Paint default neon colors are usually blinding/make it unpleasant for looking at the sprites.

Hi guys, I'm back. I have been working on a few things, but, I'm gonna get back to spriting soon. (If I can get my sprites to upload on photobucket )

that's great, but for future reference, you should wait until you have the sprites ready, to post.
that way it won't be a bump that gets our hopes up for nothing, heh.

I finally fixed my photobucket problem. Now here's my edited sprite

I'm also trying again with tilesets. there are no animations, and the colors are pretty basic: plus the fact there's not so much stuff this time. So, tell me what you think.

the colors on the mushrooms, pipes, green bush and that sharp-cornered grey wall thing beside the yellow water(?) need more contrast, and all of your shading could use some hue shifting.
(by the way, idk if the Spriting Dictionary has been linked already but I'm linking it now so you can learn about all this stuff easier. it's not bad for a start though!

I see a lot of the shading is just banding and several shades could use better contrast. The pipes look awfully flat, too, and the light comes from the wrong side. Some sprites have odd double-pixel outlines. Several of these look too much like edits of the original NES graphics. I made a few examples: I would suggest not to use black outlines for water and lava, as that makes them look too solid and not like liquids. Thanked by: Garamonde

also you forgot to mention about not using white as a background color for the sheet.
