Alucard Sprite

I'm new to custom spriting and working on an Alucard (Hellsing). Tips/edits appreciated.

If you're going to blow it up, include the 1x1 version so we can see how it looks in its natural size.

that red hurts my eyes really


there's way too much contrast and little shading
it's not very readible in 1x view
you use waaay too many different colors for no reason, keep a palette

It looks promising shaped up, but the criticism mentioned makes it too hard to notice the limbs. Then again, all I know of this Alucard is the Abridged series.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll take all of this into consideration next time i have to do a custom sprite. This is what I needed it for. Hopefully the girl I made it for will like it.
