you might want to slightly alter some of his poses so he looks less like mega man. i can't tell from the reference on your sheet, but try making some of the limbs a pixel thinner. possibly alter the head shape (because of the mouth) and mess with the eyes a bit more. maybe make him a pixel shorter?

his main jump pose looks alot like megaman. maby if you make his left leg/our right come up like the other it would be better.
or u could just play around with his jump pose legs. but thats just my opinion. i think he is a good idea =)

now it looks like he has abnormally huge lips and his mouth is sticking out way too much.

he still looks a lot like megaman too, shrink his body a bit.

I dont have the fancy smancy tools to do that...I all have is paint....It took me a few hours to do this oilman pic,and its not even that good....I also have trouble with walking sprites.

Do you want a custom shooting pose? Move the non-shooting arm a bit away from the body, correct this ugly-looking month, make the eye 1 pixel smaller. Or if you want something different, invert the legs position.
And your Power Ranger pose isn't "Power-Rangish" enough. Try something like <o/ (if you know what I mean LoL)

i do all of my sprites in paint, and so do all of us, so don't even use that excuse. :l

if i can do this in paint:

then you can do something as simple as an 8-bit mega man boss in paint.
