Nate's Sprite Corner
#1
I've been spriting off-and-on for quite a long time now (With sometimes even like a whole year of no spriting or more due to no access to computers or what-not), so I just figured that I'd show what I have available as of now (all two sprites I'll show here!), and of course what future sprites I make.

First is a trace-over of this piece of art made by a good forum friend of mine named Keileon (Yes I am linking to her FurAffinity page, but this is mostly because that's where her artwork is, and hence how I could best give her credit. No, I am not a furry myself. Just thought I'd get those questions out of the way.). Before I made the sprite that will come next on this thread, this sprite was my favorite that I'd ever made.

Honestly, it looks a lot cooler on a darker background, I just like to make my backgrounds transparent for some reason.

Second is one that I made just last night, and is really my first truly completed scratch sprite, since I usually tend to give up about midway through the lineart (I suck at doing lineart, if I do say so myself).

While I know that it's far from a perfect sprite (The lineart sucks. A lot. I know.), it's still my favorite sprite I've ever made. I know that I also technically did a lot of... conceptual... mistakes with the shading, including overshading it (though that's honestly kinda my style), but I really did a lot of what I did to make it look as elegant as I could (because Mega Ampharos is fucking *FABULOOOOUUUUS* ... sorry). I kinda tried to clean up the shading (admittedly not very much, as it was pretty much just me looking at the finished product for about a minute and going "nope, can't fix it." but it was like 3:30 AM at the time and yeah...)

Yes, I like Mega Ampharos.

So yeah, comments, constructive criticism, and suggestions (for both how to make my sprites better and what to sprite next) welcome ~
