truth be told it was meant to be a schoolgirl design, hence the shirt and uninteresting jeans (which were going to be black trousers like typical uniforms but it looked so boring.) the running animation is a very cheap rushed hack job, hence no movement in the hair or face, the poor animation of the arms, the lack of depth perception in the legs and the hooves, for the most part I was trying to just get something to use as a placeholder run but the more I look at it the more I'm disgusted by it, I really do need to start over for it.
edit: going to try and redo the colour/shading style make it a bit more unique and less scott pilgrim, ofc starting with the legs.

In her stance animation it looks like she's trying to flick her nipples up. Breast have weight.

the weight I've tried to show in shading rather than light as to stop them from being ridiculously bouncy, its a difficult barrier to avoid, a single pixels difference can mean anti-grav, free or bra'd boobies, I'll fiddle with it see if I can give it some weight. For the record the idle animation shes just meant to be bouncing with anticipation (its partially based around her voice actor who is pretty much hyper all the time)
her face is pretty much unreadable. try making her eyes smaller because they take up 7/8 of her face.
you should go with a more upbeat pallete, taken that this might be a lighthearded game. if not, just remove the dark shades, like the skin for example.

I was having trouble particularly not liking how the hair looked so I decided to give it another go from scratch in a cleaner more simple design (though I think I need to change the body quite a bit I quite like the head)

Everything about this is better

i think that the face shading is too extreme btw

I like how the head is but I can't get a good body on it, I don't want it too small like the sackboy body but I keep giving it silly broad shoulders or mishapped torso's. Typically I'd look at other peoples works see if theres any tips I could pick up on it but I don't know of anything similar, so I guess for a while I'll have to deal with guess work and trial and error.
