Also, it's a rather mediocre final boss, easily going down with a single Shadow Claw from a Doublade.

also that's true. but hey it was just a thought. i'm still kind of rooting for zoroark i think. but he would make an awesome pokéball too ( a copy of player who released him or one of the players in battle. assisting the one who released him )

You know what? I could get behind that, for several reasons:

1. Mega Evolution
2. Used in an important X/Y battle
3. Girl in a Smash game with a bigger roster of girls than ever before
4. Third Gen Pokemon made playable

So yeah, I'd be way behind this idea, don't know why I never thought of it before. Also MAYBE wouldn't it be cool to have an alternate Gallade skin? 4th Gen could be repped a bit in that regard. Think about that.

I honestly feel like Blaziken and Genesect don't matter. I mean, maybe Genesect because of the movie where it battles Mewtwo, but eh.

Snorlax and Marill rank higher than they do, IMO. So does Gardi and Meowth.

Personally I'd rather have more non first gen pokemon, we already have Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo and the Pokemon trainer.

But don't use Gardevoir, it and a few other pokemon have the more creepier fanbases.

veterans do not get cut. jigglypuff is an iconic smash bros character thanks to its borderline-joke-character status and off-the-wall moveset, and is not going anywhere. any justification you could make to cut jigglypuff would also apply to captain falcon and ness, as they're also characters who haven't done much outside of smash bros for a long time and are largely remembered for being in smash bros.

I don't know why people have such a hate-on for Jigglypuff... I always liked the character and was never particularly bad at using it. Sure, it's weak and light and slow, but those shortcomings can be worked around.

Jigglypuff is actually interesting in the regard, Kriven. She was top tier in Melee, and in Brawl she's one of the worst characters. Hopefully they do something to remedy that in SSB4 (in other words, to restore rest to its former glory and give Jiggly the ability to combo into it again)

-cut Snake because I doubt he's coming back (I wouldn't mind if he does, though)
-cut Lucas because he's a semi-clone of Ness (and if we get any new MOTHER rep I think Duster or Jeff have the best chances)
-cut the rest of the Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon
(might be worth noting that this fits with that one leak that said that 4 characters would be cut)
-added King K. Rool (due to him being interesting, and also being another villain character)
-added Ghirahim (Skyward Sword rep, though this could just as easily be another Zelda character)
-added Palutena (more or less a given for reasons including the leak)
-added Mii (we have a tomodachi life stage. miis are in)
