I'll be brief

• I know very little html and css and stuff
• I need a blog. well, it's going to be a finnish satire news site, but the framework is essentially the same as any traditional blog would be (categories/tags, recent posts, facebook/twitter integration)
• I've got a host, a domain and a mysql database
• I have a CMS, wordpress to be exact, but only because it's the first thing I could come up with. if you think drupal/perch/whatever is better for this purpose, I can ditch wp and install that but only if you can give me proper reasoning on why they're better for this purpose
• It needs to work on mobile devices too, so it's either gotta be a responsive site all the way from 1920 to 320. or have a separate mobile theme
• I have detailed plans of the site layout in photoshop

You know the Onion right? The Daily Currant? The National Report?
That shit's funny. I love funniness. YOU love funniness. It has been my mission to make people laugh, and what better way to make people laugh than through the art of satire?

Sadly, the vast majority of Finnish humor shared on social media are ultimately unoriginal, buzzfeed-esque (usually just translated) shit articles from the lower corners of the web, click-baity "news" from either of the biggest (well, only) Finnish tabloids Iltalehti*1 and Ilta-Sanomat*2 (think The Sun, The Mirror, Daily Star but worse) or just generally language-agnostic "funny" pictures or videos.

Honorable mentions of original Finnish content are... well. Original standalone webcomics or comics of high-profile newspapers, humorous images created exclusively for-finns-by-finns you might stumble into on a finnish humor content aggregator. And uh, then there's the occasional humorous blog post by someone.

One of the few creators of 100% original humor content is Lehtilehti*3, a satirical news site which:

☐ parodies anything else other than recent events
☐ has content other than articles

My job is obviously not to replace or compete with Lehtilehti. I just want to make something similar. Lehtilehti makes me and many others laugh, but I feel confident saying that we need more of that. I have a small army of content creators behind me so as soon as the site is done, the torrent of lulz shan't stop.

tl;dr: 90% of finnish humor is translated content – i can make more, so code me a site and save Finland from unfunny unoriginal content.
