sprites I'm doing for fun

She doesn't need the bounce at the end. It's too forceful for the height she's falling from. Honestly, I think the only problem with this is TOO MANY frames. It's too smooth and long for such a sudden movement.

I made the stutter go two pixels lower is that enough? I also think how the arms move is kinda odd but that's how it goes with super dbz.

Wait... I've been told to add a stutter but your saying to remove the stutter, well that's pretty confusing for me. The ko's in super dbz are going in slowmotion so that's why my animation is also slow. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible with the original animation as seen here at 13:21

You don't need much stutter if you use it there. The head does not need to change frames, so just rely on the up and down motion itself.

Is this what you mean?     [Image: ngKbKuK.gif]
I prefer my previous attempt, this new one looks to stiff in my opinion. Also after watching the super dbz animation again, the previous attempt looks more accurate to the original.

Now chi chi can't only fall but also jump!

I changed the arms and made the dress billow more outward in the falling sprites.

I have made quite a few sprites and improved old sprites after I made an organised sprite sheet of chi chi so why not update the organised sheet now, right? I also changed the pissed of chi chi animation, the saiyan saga outfit, the fighting idle animation and the falling animation.

old         new                                                                                        old       new                                    old             new

pissed of chi chi   = I tried to make the legs and the dress' creases not as stiff as they were before and I made chi chi one pixel shorter.
saiyan saga outfit = I changed the shading of chi chi's scarf in the 1/4 view and back view, that's pretty much it.
fighting idle         = I animated the dress so it looks like the legs are bending instead of the dress going up and down without the legs moving and the arms don't
move anymore because it looked weird to me how it moved.
falling                 = The dress is two pixels wider when she's falling and when she's landing I made the dress billow higher.

Up to you. Depends how much you want to go for dramatic effect vs realism Smile There is no wrong answer (in my opinion!!).

I see, thanks for the info and I'm leaning more towards the dramatic effect.

Here's some random poses I made for chi chi including the pose you see in most of her artwork. I also changed kid goku's hair and kid krillin's eyebrows.

I finally made a running animation of chi chi Big Grin  This took forever to finish but I'm happy with the result.

Since I can use chi chi as a template for bulma, I made a few sprites of bulma to test  how the legs would look like if you remove the dress, I also changed the side view arm and here's the result.

[Image: 30GkYIo.png]        [Image: XHYQAsx.gif]

While I was making this I realized chi chi's arms were a bit too long and her torso's a bit too thick in the side view. As a result I had to change all of that (by the way I adjusted bulma first) so now I can finally move on.

I wanted to make the head look more like the anime so I made the eyes a pixel thinner and you can also see the changes I made on the side view sprite of chi chi that I mentioned in my previous post with bulma. I also changed the crying animation since it looked as stiff as a fountain Tongue

The side view head is particularly based on this picture by the way.

Just making a fighting pose would be pretty useless without a punch right? So here it is.
