I'd suggest picking a shape for the torso and sticking with it. Each animation seems to switch between rectangular and circular shapes (go with the round one)

You should really nail down the basic line-art of the first frame before you begin to animate. It looks rigid and is hard to read. Add more curves in your outlines to make it look less "blocky."
Here's some other stuff to look out for because I'm a pretentious douche. ;D If you take some of these things into consideration, it won't be long until you have your own pelvic thrusting blue hedgehog. I think that for the sake of readability and silhouette, the nose should be going off the side of the head instead of right in the middle.

more things can be done if you change that weird red into a cool blue. sure, the shoes aren't supposed to be red, but just stick with it and use some ArtisticLicense™
i also desaturated the main blue, since it can sorta hurt your eyes if you look at it for long :I
Working with proportions. I'm also keeping the same palette for now because I don't really think the other Blues in the NES palette match Sonic >.>
Also, I tried to make a HDish sheet of Mr. Gimmick, but I screwed up big time on the shading. Anything else I should look out for before I continue? (Sorry for so much extra space!) EDIT : Here's a new one.
I'm back! Woo-
The return of Advanced-ish Kirby. Yes, it is entirely based on KSSU Kirby, also .o. Blank Space II : The Return....nah

Hey Quirby. Try upping the constrast a bit and use a different colored background other than pure white or black. It's kinda blinding me atm

You might wanna darken Kirby's base color a bit, too. He looks too bright, which is made worse by the white background.

Eh? Make my posts closer together? That would be SEEMINGLY impossible.
Anywaaaaaaaaay Here's a new Kirby sheet with that purpleish color I use. I also made this over on DA. Sorry for the return of the White BG >.> It's a version of the M200 from Lotus III : The Ultimate Challenge/Lotus II : RECS, except restricted to GBC hardware. I checked ; multiples of 8 pixels for the CHR tiles, 3 colors + transparency. Though the sprites for getting smaller are probably off in size. And here's a piece of pixel art I made on Need For Speed : Porsche Unleashed, except on a B/W 84 x 48 screen.

Supra : The NES Game
This took most of my afternoon until now. Also not licensed to Nintendo or Toyota. Thanked by: ~Axis~

I'd probably use one of those grey shades to AA the Supra logo since it's kinda jaggy as it currently is.

Kirby's left hand looks a bit too flat to me on the jumping sprite. Rounding it out would make it look nice.
01-15-2015, 09:20 PM
Didn't round out Kirby yet, but at least AA happened.
I also started making this little NES-size Mega Man today. Top is with 2 extra colors, bottom using it without (AKA : NES palette) Now if you may excuse me, I'ma gonna update my TFR thread
AA shouldn't just be one dot on every edge. AA doesn't have to be on every edge and it doesn't have to just be one pixel. I'll make an edit to show what I mean later.
EDIT: Not perfect but I hope it helps. Thanked by: ~Axis~

I should probably have done the AA, but nope. More Mega Man stuff
Wood Man has one of the best themes, too. Now hopefully, I don't start any arguments |
