wait, is it OK then to make animated GIF icons? Because that would so cool for the ripping project I'm currently working on for this site.

Animated GIF icons are only accepted on rare occasions. If you have any animated GIF icons to submit, you should also submit static versions of those icons and let the staff decide what icon to use.

mmk. Good, then at least I can make one of each to avoid trouble. I wasn't going to make the GIFs too garish, btw.
