TARGET ACQUIRED
Hey look! It's some of that +More I was talking about in the title! So, it's a Turret from Portal. Yeah. What do you think? And this is not for the game.
EDIT: Here's a more detailed version with more colours.

The slimmer palette looks better. Also, are you gonna do different angles for them? I can't imagine them shooting at much in a game, unless it's for a Doom-like FPS. Hmm, I think we should make doomlike a new gaming term for FPS games using 2D characters.

Here's a front angle. EDIT: And right facing. EDIT: and everything else.
I'm not feeling confident with the side sprites. Suggestions?

You all know what this is. It's my Avatar. So... What can I work on?

It's the legs. Take a look at this:
See how the back leg bends differently from the front ones?
As for the icon, I dunno. All I can say is I can't even read what that word in the middle is. Make it bigger, I guess.

It's a Mario! Don't worry, I'll get back to PBG eventually. I just wanna do other stuff.
And Turret update.
As for the logo, I'll just use x4.

Y'know, I thought you'd messed up on the leg at first, so I put it in Aseprite to check, and found it was because I could barely see the little thin part that connected it. I also found out that the turrets are a pixel bigger than I thought. You should probably outline them or something, because they're really hard to see against a light background, which is what most of Portal uses.

An outline inside the sprite or outside (EX Paper Mario)?

I dunno; try them both and see what works.

While I'm working on the outline, what about Mario? I plan on using him for something.

The Mario you have is stiff. Try making his pose a little more loose and natural.

it's ok to suck, sucking is not bad, just try and aim to always do your best!

How's this?

He looks really flat all over. The shades need more contrast to them. Honestly, I think your old style might have worked better, no offense; it was just easier to make things out.

Well, here's a comparison of the two styles. (Updated sprite to the right BTW)

Couple small updates.
Here's the turret so far, but it looks so much nicer without an outline. Would there be any tip to avoid using an outline?
And about the swim sprite, it's more like Marios where hitting jump will push you up a little.
