On this forum, spam is the catch-all excuse for closing down anything not approved of by the afore mentioned pair of administrators. There is no flexibility, and every thread that borders on frivolous is shut down, or at the very least requires direct administrator approval before it can run. It's not entirely unreasonable for administrators to exercise  this authority, but it is not the conditions I wish to operate under, so I'm leaving. 
Dazz, if you don't want to run a forum, don't run a forum, shut the place down. Move the social forums to VGFacts. Nobody wants to be a on a forum that's only left open out of spite. There's also the fact that a guy who can't draw or sprite is head of a place that makes sprites and artwork,  you say you don't like humor, but you created some hilarious irony.

On a more positive note, I would like to thank and say farewell to all the awesome people that were and are on this forum, who have really helped with my art. Chris2balls, you were one of the first people to give me good critique on my sprites. You and Metaru were my idols when I first came here, and a large source of my inspiration to improve as an artist. Vipershark and Petie, even though I'm pretty irritated with both of you for jumping to conclusions and not really respecting me or my opinions,  I would like to thank you both for helping me with my computer problems when I was having issues. Kosheh and Razz, I'm also grateful to you guys for that. Skype pals, you're all awesome and we're still all good chums, even those of you against my doing this. We will be in touch. Everyone else, it's been great.

Gors, we could have been friends if you weren't a stubborn narrow minded poop.

I'll still be around sometimes to check stuff out when Skype people link me here, but I don't intend to post ever again, goodbye all.

I never had any problems with you previously, and I feel somewhat insulted that you don't believe I can draw. I've done it professionally as a job previously, having worked on AAA titles... But alas, I see no point in defending myself here.

I love this place, I love the people here - I don't like mindless drivel. I love humour - I love it when it's actually humour though. It's not that I disagree with threads, it's that they are simply spam content - quick posts with no meat to them.

Joining VGFacts and purposefully acting like a moron, with the only reason to piss me off when I quite clearly barely speak or interact with you didn't help my opinions of you, and I warned you for that very purpose - nothing else. The fact that a single warn against you and you wish to up and leave says a lot for your character though, and I sadly can't say I'm too sorry to see you go. I'd have liked to have got to know you better - it appears you had a fair bit of artistic talent.

There will be no big wall of text in response to this thread. Just a reply to the parts concerning me directly.

First, I had nothing to do with the hedgehog thread shutdown, though I don't disagree with the action. People seem to like to quote the definition of spam when they're making a point about how whatever thing they're talking about isn't but in every case, it fits the literal definition. I'm not against forum games - things like roll to dodge are great when well run because they are creative. The hedgehog thread was basically "post your Google image search result here" and really could have been accomplished in the existing random picture thread (which I'm also not fond of but I'm also trying not to be totally unreasonable). Too many of those threads just make the entire site look messy and that's all I'm trying to prevent.

The only direct involvement I had in any of this fiasco was ending your little follow-up adventure, which I won't get into here.

I do appreciate you being a respectable enough person to acknowledge that not everything has been bad though - most people wouldn't do that online. I'm not going to try to convince you to stay or celebrate your departure so best of luck with whatever you choose to do from here on out, assuming this isn't all one huge April Fool's joke.

Its sad to see you go, even though I didnt get know you at all, I knew your art. It was amazing to see and I always loved them, the best digi-art I've seen. I wish you could stay but I guess that's out of question. I hope you encounter the best.
