I just got to the Omega Flowey fight.

Naturally died horribly because I was too freaked out to process what the fuck was going on.

That's the part of the game that's complete bullshit, with the repeated closing and reopening, but if you just muddle through it, you'll eventually get past it. Once you get to a certain point, you don't have to deal with it again. Still, this is one of the only games I've played that does nonsense like that.

Yea once you beat him once, you never have to fight him again (unless you go the Genocide or Pacifist paths and then True Reset your data to play more). I think that once you battle him a few times and get past him he's not as freaky. It's really worth getting past though.

It just got so damn meta, with the whole breaking the actual mechanics of the game and then mocking the hell out of me when I died. It's like that, "Turn it off," rumor on the SMT cartridge -- shit like that actually scares me and it's so damn stupid.

I was already aiming for Pacifist, so I made sure not to gain any EXP or LV. I don't think I'd be able to do Genocide route in good consciousness, so at least I can avoid that.

Yea, if you try to go for Pacifist on your first time, the game won't let you. You have to beat Neutral and then reload the file, complete any sidequests and then beat it again for the Pacifist ending.

So uhh... welp.

Then your best option would be to go Pacifist and then watch a Genocide route online.

I have so many more questions now than ever.
Papyrus heavily implies that he would've used a Gaster Blaster on you for his special attack. Then what was the bone stealing about?
Why does talking to Clamgirl make a drawing appear in Sans' workshop?
Clamgirl was apparently talking about someone named Suzy. Who is Suzy? And why would she have anything to do with Frisk going to the underground?

I honestly don't know about the correlation between Clamgirl and the drawing, but goddamn does it hurt my heart all the same.

Over anything, though? I'm more amused by the changed Check notices. The Mettaton ones especially got me laughing.
