resident evil movies reboot?

i was wandering does anyone here think they should try to reboot the the resident evil movies. i know they were bad but i think if the got an actually good writer  and they could have a winner and perhaps sticking alot closer to the source material  and with less mary sue  oc's.

i do concede that there does have to be some changes to the resident evil story line to work as a movie but i think that it doesn't have to be as extreme as they did in the first horrible series of movies.

i would also like to hear your ideas for changes and casting calls you would like in such a reboot

I liked them. Sure, they didn't do much justice to their namesake, but they were decent movies.
