Final Fantasy XV What Are Your Thoughts?
#1
After 10 long years of development, an engine change, a console generation jump, 2 director changes, and a rename, what do you think of Final Fantasy XV now that it's finally out?

I for one think it's a great addition to the series. It doesn't live up to expectations (how could it), but it's still a very good game with some of the most likable characters in the franchise and fun combat. I think it came about as close as it possibly could to living up to the hype.

Personally I think it is living up to expectation - I had severe doubts it would be fun, and yet it is a fantastic addition to the line of core Final Fantasy games. If the first thing I thought when playing it was how I wished the other stories could have been told with an engine like this, then I'd say it has a shining place among the games.

I'm excited to see the 7 reboot. I hope they don't fuck with it too much but keep this engine for sure.

I will admit the driving segments do get tedious when you're just running side-quests, but I think that's the result of me over doing it when I should progress the story to not be too OP. I assume this is something they'll fix with New Game + where you will have already discovered a lot of the map already. Spoiler:AND WITH A FLYING CAR.
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

They announced that they are going to patch in more story scenes. I'm just going to wait to play it because they clearly aren't even finished making it.

I want to buy it, but I think I'll wait until they do some patches on it, based on what I've seen. I also want to buy it because I was hoping that they will install multiplayer in the future. We may get a chance to play as Noct's three companions. The graphics and setting is great and the fight system looks fast paced. The story, however, seems short and we don't get to see important scenes (like how Regis got blind). Overall I think the game is good and has room for improvement.  Wink
