[GCN] Shrek SuperSlam GameCube Textures (.gct)
#1
Hello!

So me and some others are trying to extract the texture files in the GameCube version of Shrek SuperSlam. We've extracted the files from the PC version of Shrek SuperSlam which are .dds files and I've ripped textures from the GCN version through Dolphin. But we need to extract the texture files and they're in the format ".gct". Anyone that knows of this format?

File Extension: .gct
Signature: GCNT (47 43 4e 54)

I know that .gct is used in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (RSBE01.gct) and that it holds codes to be used in the game. I tried to open a .gct file from Shrek SuperSlam in BrawlBox but with no luck.

Thanks!

Can you upload some of these files so we can take a look?

Hi there, I have been working on this with Lunoz. Thank you for your interest. The forums won't allow me to upload the file, so here is a MEGA link to it. I've also included the .dds from the PC version of the same file so you know what the Gamecube one should look like:

[legal.gct] - https://mega.nz/#!U1NGjBgJ!XmwFYEhhklASh...0N1lXf4mDY
[legal.dds] - https://mega.nz/#!kpFXHbZQ!vpdrLh1lx03De...FydZxDLxMU

Hopefully I did that right, I've never used MEGA before. Thanks!

Very strange. The pixel format seems like DXT1, what the DDS uses, but that doesn't produce any results. Unfortunately it looks like some kind of DXT variant (or a format similar to it) which I can't do much with, sorry! Maybe someone else can help.
