As you can see, it's 1bpp planar on a 2-dimensional mode.

That seems to look like an alphabetical font in the middle, which would only require the lowest possible width (that or just using 1-Dimensional.) Other sprites, say for example Goku (judging by how big his sprites are), would require 2-Dimensional and a small (but not too small) width size.

The developer rant at the end of this hack makes me wonder what kind of problems these people have to go through in life while making these.
The sprite work on the other hand makes me question why these are in a meme hack in the first place. They kind of remind me of Time Twisted.

Pepsi Can (Among The Others by Unlimited Trees, SHC2018 Demo) (Sega Genesis)

   

I also tried getting Pepsiman by pressing B on the Title Screen (according to Trees' Twitter), but I couldn't get it to work without it directing to Pepsi Can, so I guess I have to rip him raw. (Unless it's just me and there's some other requirement to unlock him.)
EDIT: Okay, that was me being dumb, you have to do the Encore cheat first in the Sound Test and then press B on the title. Expect to see him soon.

I'm currently working on ripping sprites from the Genesis homebrew Tanglewood (at least the demo version). There's a whole lot of animations here, but so far this is only more than half of what appears to be almost 20 pages of sprites in the demo's rom.

Here's another obscure Sonic rip. Personally, for an Amiga demo/prototype, I find the graphical work better than what Sonic Attack provides.
