I need some advice to choose a Zelda game
#16
I definitely have one of the oracles games on my 3ds, so at least at some point it had to be there.

I've got all three of those games on VC... they were on sale as part of a Zelda celebration a few months ago, are they really not there anymore?

Edit: They still show up as available on the eShop from Nintendo's website.

I've played every Zelda game in the series and my favorites have always been Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Minish Cap. Seeing as Minish Cap is the only one actually on the list (Do you not have an interest in the 3D titles?) so I went with that one. I also feel as though I should add that the DS Zelda games may not be for everyone. I've seen plenty of people shower them with praise, but for me personally, I think they're the worst games in the series. Mind you, I didn't find either of them bad, but compared to the rest of the games, they just don't stack up.

Minish Cap can be a fairly repetitive game if you're trying to 100% it due to the Kinstone system, but I personally enjoyed it. The game feels like it has a lot more interesting secrets and things to find than most games in the series. The shrinking mechanic is also very well done and adds quite a bit to the game, I honestly wish the mechanic would return in a future title. The best part for me at least, is the dungeons. Minish Cap has my favorite dungeons in the entire series. They're all imaginative and interesting with fun gimmicks. The presentation of the game is also spectacular with wonderfully done music and top notch sprite art.

A side suggestion would be A Link Between Worlds. With everyone wanting you to try out A Link To The Past (which I also think is a great game) I would definitely give it a go if you end up enjoying the first. It expands and imo, improves on everything A Link To The Past did in almost every way, as well as including interesting new features of its own. It was honestly an unexpected masterpiece to come after the fairly disappointing Skyward Sword.

That's weird... Those games weren't shown when I searched for them in the eShop on the Wii U.
I'll try to do another research, maybe they have only been temporarily unavailable for a few days for some reason.
Anyway, from what I read from your comments, aLttP, MC and MM would be the best choices. Thanks for the advice BTW Smile

EDIT: I may have solved the eShop problem: as I live in France, I have access to the European version of the eShop, and maybe the articles available in Europe are not the same as in the US.
My mother tongue is French, but I also understand English and Spanish, so if you want to PM me, you may use either of these languages (just make sure you're not making too much grammar or spelling mistakes, I might have pain understanding).

You may visit my profile on the PGE forum right there (I'm mostly active on the SMBX 38A section of the forum), and take a peek at my YouTube channel (my video uploading rate is irregular, I mostly use it to show scripts I've made or glitches I've found in SMBX 38A).

Might just be on the 3DS and not Wii U because, well... I don't know Nintendo does weird things like that. (Like how they keep releasing the GBA version of Yoshi's Island and not the SNES version... urgh).

Personally, I really disliked the Zelda DS games. From the controls, going back to that same dungeon all the time in Phantom Hourglass and well generally everything. They are probably good games, but they kinda feel more like a spin-off than a main title in the series. Definitely a Marmite situation.
