I am still practicing making custom sprites and am still wet around the ears. I made a handful of creatures (Wolves, Bears, Boars, and even a Domestic Pig) and now I feel like I should revisit them to see if I can do them better within the same constraints of a 32x32 sprite area. I redid the Boar first. I have a before and after, but am not sure how I like the front face of the new boar...any feedback, suggestions, or otherwise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. (Will be posting my creations here for now on.)
The Shade Color and Base Color are way too similar, I would advise adding a little more contrast.
If the Tusks have shading then they have the same issue, I can't tell if they are more then one color tbh.

I see what you mean. I have been looking at a lot of Pokemon Overworld sprites and I see the contrast difference. I will work on it, thanks.
