The VG Resource policy for rips of unreleased games...
#1
What is the VG Resource's official policy for rips of cancelled, alpha/beta/debug/demo/prototype, leaked, or otherwise unreleased games. This question is aimed at games that were either cancelled before being finished, were finished but went unreleased, had a prototype leaked, or had a demo with different content than the final. This question is not aimed at prototypes/leaks/demos of games that are still suppose to be released, but hadn't been yet.

We accept them. We have several games listed "Prototype" on the site because they never came out.

I guess what I was trying to ask is, are there any special rules involving new games or submissions that fall under that category? Or is it like submitting any new game or submission?

Yes, it's the same method as any submission, and the same quality standards apply. The only reasons we won't accept assets from a game are if it is pornographic in nature, or we are specifically asked not to by the creators.
