Yeah, it's a bit flat-looking...I mostly ignored palette restrictions in the colors themselves, and was still trying to keep the color count to about 3, a standard count per sprite in NES sprites. But you're right, it could use some room for improvement.
I'm emotionally feeling a bit better now. I'm sorry to everyone I hurt and/or annoyed by my actions and reactions when I first joined this site.

I agree about adding more depth, i think its a solid base to get some practice with shading and colour choice on if you're not too worried about palette restrictions!
