The eye shape is akward and your shading need some work.

thanks I'll improve it, even if it's a build your own type sprite sheet. And I need to know of a program that will let me rotate images without crazy coloration problems.

graphics gale, you can do all 360 degrees with graphics gale. The only problem is the pixels wont exactly be perfect but even so you can still do 45 degree turns.

Rotsprite (google it) can do rotations with minimal distortion.

You may need to neaten it yourself still, but it's A LOT less work this way.
