Hello, names Mini-z or -M-m- if that's easier too type, i go by -M-m- on steam after all.
In general computer wiz when it comes too hardware more then anything mostly overclocking, building pcs, general servicing, benchmarking etc..
But trying too get into more on the software side of things other installing things & minor tweaking here & there too games via mods that is pretty much copy file & replace with this new one.
Was gonna start adding a kart
(Tails kart initially from allstars racing transformed)
& then if i get used too the process add multiple kart models into Tower unite & realized there is no model available of most vehicles in all stars racing transformed on the models resource page or any model really.
I was gonna go initially with the direction of using the models i found from the gmod workshop (getting hold of those files extracted as when downloaded they are in some weird format i havent bothered cracking open.)
But figured I'd give it a try ripping the models myself if possible, i haven't contacted whoever extracted the models yet into Gmod if anyone is wondering about that besides a comment atm, they are offline it seems.
That guy might be on here I'd imagine & they might have used the ps3 or xbox 360 version too extract the models from the game.
As the topic mentions there I'm looking for some help extracting the models from allstars racing transformed & if possible modify the game a bit while im at it. (Steam copy of Allstars racing transformed & nonsteam copy I've tried it with gets me no further then getting the gpu.spc & cpu.spc)
Current tools i got on my pc is blender on steam, quickbms & a program called Noesis ?
(Quickbms extracted the data of the game out into folders so somewhat complete with the job there.
But there is an additional format where i think modeldata, textures etc lies that i would need access too in some way, 7zip refuses too open it as an archive atm...
Files exists in a gpu.spc & cpu.spc file format atm on my pc, any ideas on how too extract those into something blender or tower unite can use ?
