Will I have to upload the model into the custom section?
#1
Hello ^^

I hope I'm asking this in the right section ^^

Some of you might have seen my thread here about Sonic Forces's Hint Ring.

Since materials can only be used by 3DS Max and not Blender, and without it, the spheres would be in shades of gray, I thought of creating a simple texture file using the colors shown by Noesis, so that colors could be seen in Blender or any other 3D software, and the peoples who might download the object will have the right colors, even if the object is an .obj, .fbx, .dae or other kind of file...

But if I create that texture file, that mean I won't be able to upload the file into Sonic Forces's section, but the Sonic Customs's one, right?

opinion: simple textures for the purpose of faking the model's correct look are acceptable and do not mean it's a custom model

I do similar - for example, not everything supports transparent vertex colours, so I include an extra UV map onto a gradient texture that provides the same visuals and explain in the readme what the deal is
