Im working on some sheets for SMB3 from the All Stars version and a lot more of sheets from the NES version.

They maybe will get submitted (or not...?)     so wait and find these classic 8x16 sprites!

If I were to suggest something, maybe replace the black color with the bg color that's normally seen in-game.
