deleting accounts, changing names, etc

I've been looking for about 15 minutes and, apparently, there is no way to delete your account or change your username without contacting an administrator or posting on the name change forum. Honestly, I don't understand why we can't just delete our accounts. Personally, I have a problem with some things I've either said or done around 2 years ago when I first made my account, and then I haven't really been keeping up to date aside from posting some poorly ripped assets for origami king and some other stuff, so honestly I'd much rather delete my account than check all my previous comments and delete them one by one, especially since I don't know where they all are. Yeah, this is my fault, it's more of my own problem for being so immature and stupid, and I won't deny that I still am, but I'm at the very least doing a little better now.

I think the ability to delete your account is something that's important, plus, who wants old and inactive accounts on their site anyways.

Completely deleting accounts can cause unexpected issues on systems that reference user IDs but even if that didn't matter, we didn't write the forum software and its authors did not provide a way for users to delete their own accounts. I did disable self-initiated username changes but self-initiated account deletion is something I have no control over.

If you're just concerned about privacy, PM me and I can rename your account for you without adding it to the log.
