So I've dealt with a number of models in Blender (not ripped game models, though) and have come to understand UVs and textures/materials a little, but the Sawsbuck model has really thrown me for a loop. I have no idea how widespread this is, just know I'm using Sawsbuck because it's one of my favorite Pokemon, and thus where I discovered it.
Sawsbucks' model has two different textures/materials - one for its body and another for its eyes. So I'm thinking there must be two UV maps and I can just merge them, right? Wrong. The UV map covers the Sawsbucks' body, and not its eyes. Its eyes are... I have no clue. Blender reads it properly and opens up the model with both materials in place, but I have no idea how the program is registering the eyes texture in regards to the model.
I'm new to this ripping video game models because I'm a The Sims modder and I typically like doing stuff that I can release to others legally. This one is just for my own personal use. I want my favorite Pokemon as toys/decor in my game. So Blender has to be used. I need the body and eyes all in one UV map and texture.
EDIT: I have kinda figured it out. I see where it is in the UV map, now. Still, I don't know how it works beyond that, as that UV island is not shaped like the texture. And I don't understand how two different images are linked to one UV map. I have never understood it to work that way.
