I need some feedback of this custom spritesheet I made of the referee from Punch-Out as it was rejected and I want to know how I could improve on it.

Well, first off, the sprite looks great even though it does lack shading. You might also want to look up how to make a proper walk animation, because, as it stands, it looks very stiff and off. Now, I'm not trying to be mean, I am just giving suggestions. ^^
When a person walks, they typically lift their legs. Right now, it looks like a shuffling shamble. I'll look up a tutorial in a bit.

Normally, I'd talk about it myself, but...

Oh, you're using an nes style shading (reminds me of Deja Vu)! Also, walk is looking better, but other things in that animation need improving. Try studying the video some more. Wink

It's looking better, but the animations are still pretty stiff.

https://i.postimg.cc/qvXQfZrs/referee-nes.png How's this? I watched the video and I tried to add some in-between sprites on some animations (like the point and TKO).

And yep, God is Good. Big Grin

It's definitely looking better! But you still have a ways to go in terms of animation. Look for a free animation program called Graphicsgale. It'll help you see your animation in motion using frames and onion skins so you can tell where you need to improve. You'll learn so fast, you'll cry. Smile

Thumbs Up
I've tried, but to be honest, it isn't really for me. I'll stick with what I've been using. Thanks for the suggestion though! Wink
