I love the shading. The only problem I have with it is the leaf on the pikmin is much too small.

The more I think about it, and try and imagine it, the more the shading seems wrong for the helmet, it seems quite flat :/
Having a quick look at that ref Kirbyfan posted could help.
I'd align the eyes and make the pupils the same size. I would also try to make the sole grey by experimenting with the different colours, especially with the green and darker blue.
