16-Bit Sonic Pocket Adventure sprites

I recently came across some Sonic Pocket Adventure sprites stylized by a DeviantArt account known as RetroReimagined, which you can see here. Inspired by the idea to literally reimagine retro sprites in higher fidelity, I decided to take it upon myself to reimagine Sonic's entire moveset in the style of Sonic 2, even making a few new custom animations for Super Sonic if you could actually control him in the base game

What do you guys think of these so far? The sheet is incomplete, so you can see some outlines around the sprites which have not been properly shaded with the Sonic 2 palette.

If I complete such a project, would it be eligible for submission to the site? I know it's a bit simple, but I think someone could get use out of them. I would provide credit to Mister Man for the original rips from SPA, as well as RetroReimagined for the original sprite which posed as inspiration for this sheet.

Late reply, but based off the attachment of what you got so far (as of the making of the original opening post for this thread, also the imgbb.com image says it's unavailable),  this looks very promising imho!

And a little fun fact: The SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color IS technically 16-bit, it had to use 8-bit looking sprites due to hardware limitations!
