Ripping Brief Karate Foolish sprites
#1
Brief Karate Foolish is a 2016 indie fighting game released only for PC, and has sprites in a Mortal Kombat style and is free on Steam. I've found where the sprites are located, in char.sfc, and is in separate character folders, It has the file format of a SNES ROM, but has the header of a Windows executable. I've renamed it to char.exe, and found out it's not a valid Win32 application. I've also tried .com, .msi and more. But i saw in section 0x1742C of the file, i saw filenames, .wav, .bmp and .png files. From the looks of the file, it seems like most stuff in it are encrypted, and can't be extracted from hex. It also tells the game to extract stuff from a different file named char.sfp, which has .wav files, and some common hud assets in .png files. If someone is intrested in ripping these/checking them out, i'll be happy to PM the files.
